16 Dec CNA Classes in Sioux Falls, SD
Nursing assistant jobs are expected to experience an exponential growth within the next decades. A work experience as a CNA can also be a solid background for the pursuance of a nursing degree. But aside from the career opportunity, nursing assistants should have the willingness to help and serve others, especially the elderly. CNAs need to have thorough training not only in the physical aspect of patient care but also in addressing the emotional needs of patients. CNAs have an important role in shortening the patient’s recovery time and maintaining their health. CNAs have more direct contact with the patients and can easily communicate the patient’s needs to the healthcare team.
With this in mind, nursing assistant programs should not only prepare students for an entry-level position in different healthcare settings but also prepare them for the physical, emotional and mental demands of the job.
